Corporate partnerships
There are lots of different ways your organisation can help us support people with learning disabilities.
Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of our community activities and services and make a huge contribution to our organisation. The specialist skills and experience your employees have are invaluable to our work and they will find volunteering with us is rewarding and challenging.

Employee fundraising
Employee fundraising is a great way to create common goals and shared pride, which is brilliant for staff morale and team spirit. It can also generate goodwill with your customers, suppliers and the local community.
Our fundraising team can work with you to develop a calendar of fundraising events and help communicate Cambridgeshire Mencap’s commitment to supporting local people with learning disabilities. We have lots of fun and innovative fundraising ideas; take a look at our A-Z of fundraising activities.
Gifts in kind
Offering gifts in kind is a great way to support Cambridgeshire Mencap - we have many ways of using this type of donation. All gifts are welcomed and used for fundraising activities and on other specific projects such as donated art materials for the arts and crafts group we run for adults or gardening equipment and plants for our very popular gardening group.
Payroll giving
Payroll giving is a scheme that allows your employees to give to their favourite charities every payday, directly from their salary. The donation is taken before Pay as You Earn is calculated meaning that the donor pays less in tax each month. For example, a higher rate tax payer donating £10 a month will pay £4 less in tax each payday.
Corporate donations
Cambridgeshire Mencap welcomes donations from organisations, which can be made in support of the range of services and activities we offer to local people. What’s more through Gift Aid you can make your gift go further at no extra cost to your organisation. Under the Gift Aid scheme, your organisation can receive tax relief on a donation made to Cambridgeshire Mencap by deducting the amount donated from pre-tax profits at the end of the financial year. This means that your organisation can make a gross payment to Cambridgeshire Mencap, enabling us to benefit fully from the donation.
