Volunteering

Volunteering

A little of your time could make a big difference to someone’s life

Our volunteers help and support people with learning disabilities in many different ways, contributing their skills, experiences, energy and enthusiasm. We carefully match their individual strengths and interests to the needs of the people we help.

Why volunteer?

See what Rachel, one of our volunteers, has to say:‘Volunteering makes you appreciate everything you have and changes your outlook on life. It gives you a sense of purpose and enables you to give something back to society. But most importantly gives you a feeling which money could never buy’.

 You will also benefit from:

  • Induction and ongoing training
  • The chance to learn new, transferable skills
  • Full reimbursement of any travel or out of pocket expenses
  • A network of new contacts and potential friends

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children, young people and adults we support and expect our volunteers to share this commitment. All volunteers are CRB checked and must provide two professional references.
