Royal wedding fever spreads to Cambridgeshire Mencap
Run by Cambridgeshire Mencap and based at the charity’s head office in Fulbourn, Artworks is a unique art and crafts group which allows people with learning disabilities to choose from a range of activities, including painting, music, drama and singing.
Artworks will be celebrating the royal wedding in style on 27 April, with a day of patriotic fun and festivities. The group will hold an outdoor tea party with a red, white and blue theme to mark Kate and Wills’ big day.
The group will be making crowns, wedding rings, bouquets and flags, decorating biscuits and even painting their faces with the union jack. Guests – by special invitation only, of course – will be treated to a variety of games and a right royal sing along, plus a dramatic performance on the theme of weddings with a spectacular twist!
Artworks runs five days a week from 10am until 4pm and sessions can be booked by the hour, half or full day with prices starting from £10. Free taster sessions can also be booked by contacting the group directly on 01223 881689 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
